Professional Carpet Cleaning Coleshill

** High Class Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning In Coleshill B46 ** Actually based in Coleshill | Carpet Cleaning Near MeIf your are looking to have your carpets / tiles restored, then there are a couple of things you must be aware of.
Virtually all offices have tiles or carpets with a dense, low pile (known as low profile). This very low pile presents a problem when using traditional methods..
When using hot water extraction (some people call it steam cleaning), you loosen the dirt and then flush it out with water, whilst simultaneously recovering the dirt with a vacuum.
The problem with office floor coverings is that you cannot get a vacuum air flow through the dense fibres. This means that much of the water (and dirt etc) gets stuck in the tiles because you cannot rinse it out.
This can leave commercial carpets wet for days whilst helping bacteria to multiply in the damp conditions which they love. For health reasons, you do not want that do you?
What we need is to get around this lack of airflow through the pile so we can shift the dirt.
This is important because if we don’t, we have the bacteria problem.
Not only that, it will start to look awful as well.
As the carpets dry out naturally (slowly) any dirt that was pushed down by the water starts to be pulled back up to the surface.
You need a “minimum moisture” system. This keeps moisture use right down and prevents the “flooding” that causes all the problems.
It then dries out and looks really tatty. It will actually look worse than before it was “cleaned”.
Take a look at these before and after photo’s of office carpet cleaning in coleshill.

The first photograph (before) shows an office where the tiles had been “wet” cleaned just a week earlier.
The client , quite rightly was doing their nut!
Someone had soaked them which pushed the muck down to the carpet base.

Not long afterwards, the tiles dried out. As the water evaporated the muck rose to the surface and dried out on top.

We were called in to put right this shambles and things came up quite well (see photo number 2 “after”).
We can do the same for you. Just give us a call.

House Carpet Cleaning In Coleshill

** High Class Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning In Coleshill B46 ** Actually based in Coleshill | Carpet Cleaning Near MeMost people are scared that they will get someone in to clean the carpets and that person will damage them.

Do know what?

They are right.

Most of our clients have worked hard and saved up to buy their soft furnishings. Some spend thousands of hard earned money on their homes.
They don’t want some cowboy wrecking them. You don’t want to let an untrained clown loose on them do you?
Here are two before and after photographs. In this instance, a landlord asked us if we could do anything to make it better.

The tenant had got it “cleaned” before vacating the property.

Let’s face it they are going to try to do it as cheaply as possible aren’t they?
Apparently either a cheap cowboy cleaner or maybe a relative of the tenant had done a quick “splash and dash” job.
It was a classic case of over wetting and shoving all the dirt down to the base of the pile.
Typically, the carpet dried out, to reveal a load of dirt and long forgotten spillages sitting on top of the pile.
A good way to describe it is “like a ploughed field”. In other words everything has been turned over and is now resting on the top.
It took a long time to restore it. First we had to extract all the tons of “shampoo” from the carpet (I reckon they had used bubble bath!) and then clean and dry it properly.
The landlord was delighted.

Upholstery Cleaning Coleshill

** High Class Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning In Coleshill B46 ** Actually based in Coleshill | Carpet Cleaning Near MeIf you have a Sofa, settee or three piece suite that is looking tired or dirty, then we can help you.
We need to see it first, however.
Most fabric covers are much less durable than carpet fibres so are more easily damaged.
If someone does not have the experience to deal with different coverings, they can wreck them (and in nearly every case, it’s irreversible).
Over the years we have found that you cannot trust things like labels on a suite. This is why we always insist on a visit to inspect upholstery.
It is impossible to check things during a telephone call. Some fabrics cannot be wet cleaned, or are very susceptible to damage from certain cleaning fluids.
Strong chemicals can make dyes run or merge into one another.
How long does it take?
I cannot speak for anyone else but for us it takes about FOUR man hours to clean an average three piece suite PROPERLY from start to finish.
Some will rush and do it in significantly less time but sorry, we will not compromise on doing a careful job. Let’s face it.
You don’t want us to wreck your furniture and we don’t want you to sue us. That’s a fair trade off, right?
Here’s what’s involved.
Pre Inspection.
What type of fabric is it? Is it safe to clean without damage (the answer may be no)? What will we need to do? What do we need to be careful of in the room (are there any fragile things that need to be removed?
Dry Vacuum & Pre-Spray
First of all we put protective sheets down and cover things like televisions or french polished surfaces.

Don’t get the wrong idea, we are not spraying all over the room but it’s just common sense to cover up vulnerable furniture.

We then DRY vacuum the furniture to remove as much dirt as possible. You would be amazed how much dust gets into the cushions and frame.
We then apply a fine mist of mild cleaning solution to soften the dirt before dislodging it with a soft brush or mitten. this is ready to be rinsed away.
Rinse / Extraction
Now it’s time to switch the machine on and rinse the dirt out. In most cases we will use plain water.

Sometimes however, we have to use a very mild acidic solution as this helps to stabilise the dyes in fragile fibres and fabrics.

Drying
The moment we finish rinsing a frame or cushion, we place it in front of the big airmover (dryer).

It’s also on clean drop sheets, not your carpet. This “speed drying” vastly reduces the drying time.

Carpet Protector In Coleshill

** High Class Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning In Coleshill B46 ** Actually based in Coleshill | Carpet Cleaning Near MeThe most common question asked is does carpet and fabric protector work?
There are many variables at work which may affect individual cases but in most situations the answer is yes.

Sometimes people expect miracles (like thinking the carpet will not show any dirt ten years after being protected.

Some carpet fibres (for instance, polypropylene), effectively have protection built in. this means you cannot apply protector as it with not soak in to the fibre.
Basically, the more absorbent a carpet fibre is, the more effective a protector will be.

Natural fibres such as wool (that includes percentage mixes like say, 80 / 20 wool), really do benefit from a topical treatment (that means applied after the carpet in laid in place).

The carpet will actually easier to vacuum and spot clean, as long as you don’t use off the shelf products that can damage protective treatments.

It also makes a professional cleaner’s job much easier if a carpet has been protected.

Watch this short video below.

We sprayed some protector on to porous kitchen roll (paper) You are probably wondering why we chose paper? It’s for dramatic effect.

It’s highly absorbent so it really shows how protector can save a fragile fabric or carpet fibre.

How exactly does it work? It covers the individual fibres with a layer that keeps dirt out. This gives you a chance to mop spillages up before they become permanent.
It’s showing our old domain name but it’s definitely my kitchen (and hands!).

Fabric Protector / Protection In Coleshill

** High Class Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning In Coleshill B46 ** Actually based in Coleshill | Carpet Cleaning Near MeThe principal of applying fabric protection to chairs, settees sofas etc is exactly the same as it is for carpets.
These fine materials are also more prone to staining. This means that the intervals between cleaning tasks can be extended for delicate coverings.
This is good if you are worried that very regular cleans may start to wear the fabric out.
Many high end suites, whilst looking fantastic, can often be made out of totally unsuitable materials for it’s location.

Sometimes dealers will sell something which just isn’t meant for heavy family “abuse”

There is more than one reason to have fabrics protected. There’s the obvious one – stopping things getting stained or dirty.
A secondary reason is to lengthen the times between cleaning. For instance, some materials on high end suites can be prone to damage when being cleaned.
It stands to reason the the longer we can go without cleaning the better.

That may sound strange coming from a cleaner but our first priority is to make sure the item is not damaged (even sometimes, if it means walking away from something).

Fabric protector is a must for anything absorbent. For example white cotton or silk is quite common.

How long do you think it will last if something like red wine is spilt on to it if it is not protected?

Carpet Cleaning in Schools, Childrens’ Nurseries and Day Care Centres

Carpet cleaning in childrens’ nurseries and daycare centres is vital.

After all, the kids spend a lot of time on the floor (and put their hands in their mouths a lot!).

You can’t stop them doing that but you can make sure your carpets are as clean as they can be.
