Looking for Carpet Cleaning In Coleshill?

If your are looking to have your carpets / tiles restored, then there are a couple of things you must be aware of.

In most cases, offices have what we call “low profile” carpet or tiles on the floor.

Low profile, as the name suggests has a very short pile that may looped or tufted.

This presents us with a different challenge to say pub or house carpets (which tend to have some sort of length to the pile).

If we try the traditional wet cleaning methods of carpet cleaning in Coleshill (called hot water extraction) we have an almost impossible task to suck the dirty water back out.

This means the tiles can be wet for days and become a breeding ground for bacteria and germs (they love warm, moist conditions).

You don’t need me to tell you that it’s not good for health.

This is because we have to have an airflow through the pile to lift the dirt. A short pile prevents this happening so we need an alternative.

If you cannot suck the dirty water out fully, you end up with a carpet full of dirty water (obvious really) and bacteria.

Over the next few days, this slowly dries out, bringing the remaining dirt up to the surface where it lies in a mucky crust. It will normally look worse than when it was “cleaned”.

The answer is to use a “minimum moisture” system. basically this uses just enough moisture to remove the dirt, without soaking anything.

Amazingly, the tiles in the first photograph (before) had only been “cleaned” a week before.

The problem was that someone had over wet them and pushed all the dirt to the bottom.

A couple of days later, the carpet tiles dried out.

As the water evaporated the dirt was pulled up to the surface where it dried out (known as “wick back”).

We were called in to remedy this situation and thankfully, succeeded (see the second “after” photo’).

We can also do the same for you. Just give us a call.

Carpet Cleaning in Coleshill, Warks. Commercial & DomesticAre you looking for carpet cleaning In Coleshill?

Do you need your carpets to be cleaned professionally but are frightened that they might get wrecked?

That’s fine. It’s probably the standard response from people who have heard all manner of horror stories (many of which incidently, are true).

You are right about this. After all, we work in many homes where the combined value of the carpets and soft furnishings can run into thousands of pounds for just one room.

You don’t want to turn loose an inexperienced idiot loose on those

Apparently either a cheap cowboy cleaner or maybe a relative of the tenant had done a quick “splash and dash” job.

It was a classic case of over wetting and shoving all the dirt down to the base of the pile.

Typically, the carpet dried out, to reveal a load of dirt and long forgotten spillages sitting on top of the pile.

A good way to describe it is “like a ploughed field”. In other words everything has been turned over and is now resting on the top.

It took a long time to restore it. First we had to extract all the tons of “shampoo” from the carpet (I reckon they had used bubble bath!) and then clean and dry it properly.

The landlord was delighted.

Here’s what it looked like after the “magic” treatment.

Here is what you will get…

Step 1

We’ll have a look at your carpets to see what we are dealing with (and decide which cleaning solution to use – always the mildest possible).

Step 2

Remove as much dry soil as possible.

Tests have shown that up to 5% of dirt in a carpet is dry.

Using professional industrial vacuum cleaners, we’ll get as much as we can out before introducing moisture (no mud pies!).

Step 3

Spray down some “green” mild solution to soften the dirt.

This is gently spread around the fibres with a special agitating machine.

Again we use the softest brushes to achieve the best result. Wait 20 minutes for it to work.

Step 4

This is when we finally switch the machine on.

By this time, the pre spray has broken down the dirt and bacteria which is now ready to be flushed out.

We only use clean water in this machine (it’s basically a rinsing step.

This is so that no dirt or cleaning solution is left in (would you shampoo your hair and not rinse it afterwards?).

Step 5

Check to see if any spots remain. If so we’ll re treat them (permanent stains will have been pointed out at the inspection stage).

Step 6.

The drying process.

We’ll use a carpet rake (plastic brush) to comb the pile to get rid of any footprint or marks.

Then we turn the “snail” dryer on. That’s a (cold) air mover that drastically reduces drying times.

The quicker we can dry it, the quicker you can get everything back into service and hopefully, get back to normal (only kidding about the last bit!).
